The Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) organized a training program to train sustainable destination certification auditors and chose Istanbul as the location.
Many sector representatives from Turkey and around the world attended the training program held at Titanic Hotel Istanbul. The training program gained an international character with participants from Turkey, Japan, Singapore and Italy.
Participants included officials from major certification bodies accredited by GSTC, such as Control Union, Alberk QA, TRB and Royal Cert.
On the public side, Pınar İmka from the General Directorate of Promotion of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Hakan Seven, Director of Facilities and Enterprises of the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, Vildan Senteke and Neliz Çetiner from the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA) took part in the event.
